CVB Overview

Porto Convention Bureau is a non-profit association founded in 1995 by initiative of various city halls, Business Associations, University of Porto and a set of entities operating in the private tourism industry. The main goal is to promote Porto and the North of Portugal in the segment of business tourism, particularly as a privileged destination for congresses, incentives and other events.

Knowledge Hub Overview

Porto has various competitiveness clusters such as engineering, aeronautics, textile industry, medical (public health, oncology, cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery) nanotechnology, architecture, vini and viticulture, enotourism and many others. The University of Porto has close to 35,000 students attend its 15 schools and 60 scientific research units, playing a big contribution for its knowledge hub development and reputation.

Alfandega Congress Centre: Located in the historic city centre of Porto with a 36,000m² area, 22 multi-functional spaces, congresses for up to 3,000pax, banquets for up to 1,700pax, exhibition area of 10,000m². Super Bock Arena: congress centre with capacities for up to 6,000pax with multi-functional rooms, integrated in a famous public garden in the city centre. Europarque: presents multi-type rooms & auditorium capacity of 1,400pax, exhibition space of 7,200m². Exponor: 200,000m² of exhibition space and 1,000pax auditorium. Located next to the Porto International Airport with lots of meeting possibilities.
