The León Convention and Visitors Bureau is a private non-profit association. The goal is to consolidate León as the ideal destination in the meetings industry by attraction of new congresses, conventions, fairs and exhibitions, through the generation of national and international visitors.

León’s famous Poliforum Complex is a world of its own - 67 hectares of recreational, business and cultural areas that include the beautiful Bicentennial Theater. The Poliforum León Convention Center has a dizzying variety of multi-functional spaces for all types of events, such as exhibitions, fairs, congresses and multiple venues for national and international events, with more than 42,000 square metres of exhibition floor space. There’s also San Cristobal Center - a unique venue for corporate, religious and social events, able to welcome up to 8,000 people.

Protocol

Depending on the nationality of the visitor it may be necessary to obtain a visa from a Mexican Embassy before travelling. León has one of the friendliest immigration policies with citizens of most countries.

Access

Located in the centre of Mexico, León has more than 50% of the economically active population of the country in a radius of no more than 400 km, which facilitates the arrival of tourists by land; we also have one of the biggest and modern road networks in Mexico. The Bajío International Airport has more than 33 daily domestic and international flights, allowing tourists from more than 65% of the world's capitals to arrive via a single connection.
